    Painting has always been present in my life. I heard about it in the early childhood. Later it played an important role in shaping my personality to become a real passion. The passion taken after my mother whose sensitivity to beauty and nature immensely influenced my perception of the surrounding world. And whenever I get back to the past I can picture myself drawing something on loose sheets of paper. I could not deny the inborn talent for fine arts. At that time I became more and more interested in all texts devoted to painting, where I searched for information concerning the ways of presenting a given subject and technical aspects of painting.
    My artistic development benefited greatly through a professional contact with the landscape painter - Jerzy Kustrynski, who gave me a lot of valuable advice concerning the technique of painting and my approach to art. He also persuaded me into taking part in my first exhibition in 1966 in Tomaszow Mazowiecki, where I was received with respect and recognition. This fact positively influenced my further artistic endeavors. The most important period in my life lasted twelve years when I worked with the pedagogue and a great landscape painter, who gained himself an entry in the Great Encyclopedia (PWN) – Jerzy Baurski. Thanks to this cooperation I was able to participate in many important exhibitions, but first of all, develop artistically and perfect my technique. After many years, in 1982 I finally received a license of a painter granted by The Fine Arts Department (The Ministry of Culture and Arts).
    The main subject of my works is landscape. From time to time I also paint still life, portrait and battle scenes. In my landscapes I try to present the nature as I would like it to be, idealizing it to a certain extent. Since there is so much evil and ugliness in every day life today, painting has become for me a way of escaping from the real world.
    During the 40 year period of my painting career, I have taken part in numerous open air events, collective exhibitions, and first of all, my individual exhibitions covered by the media (press, radio and television). My paintings can be found in museums, Polish Embassies all over the world and in private homes. My dreams came true in 1995, when I was able to open a private gallery at the workshop and advertising agency at Bartycka Street in Warsaw. All visitors and art lovers are most welcome there.
